Shihan Gary Foxwell 6th Dan

Gary Foxwell began his martial arts training some thirty odd years ago and on that very first day he became hooked.  Although not particularly spectacular in results Gary always entered competitions from being a yellow belt.

Gary was the first student from his Association to win an outright English Title and the only student of his Association to  win a British Title, represent England, represent Great Britain, Compete internationally and to win European Championship medals.

Gary represented England in the Junior European Championships in Cardiff ’93 and Madrid ’94, Britain in the World Games and the World Cup in Finland and the Philippines in ’97, not to mention he was regularly called up to fight for England as exhibition matches in Spain, Italy an Sardinia.

Whilst all this was going on Gary was studying and achieved a degree, then a post-grad then went on to lecture in amongst other things business, accountancy, fitness before settling for a full-time post in Computing.

Now Gary is a full-time Martial Arts Professional heading an association of 7 clubs.

You can see from this that Gary dedicates and commits him self fully to what ever tasks he takes on, his latest mission is to build the best possible students in karate, providing them with structured discipline, exercise and above all a means to defend themselves.
